We are wrapping up staff week at the Barn Day Camp. The last few days have been wet ones. Staff have returned from their overnight trip where they got familiar with first aid supplies and application and tent and stove setup. They have also learned to belay, taken CPR, Wilderness 1st Aid, gone over scenarios, and participated in all-around silliness.
Most of our staff are returning and/or F&W alumni – which is really exciting. Our staff comes from different parts of the US and we are made up of every gender including non-binary and transgender. We have folks who come from a variety of family structures, races, learning ability, and socio-economic backgrounds. We even have some fluent Spanish speakers. We can’t wait to have the (non-goat) kids here. Yesterday ended with a huge rainstorm and watching the US women’s world cup game as a reward for all their hard work.
See you soon!
