We believe we are not separate from the land, the water, and the life all around us. Our trips staff are key to sharing the beauty and adventure of hiking, canoeing, and rock climbing. We’re looking for trips staff for almost all of our camps to lead small groups of a variety of genders and ages.

Lead Epic Trips

Some with little kids, some with big kids! Sometimes you’ll take them hiking and have them set-up tarps. Sometimes you’ll take them canoeing and teach them how to bear bag. You’re taking them on the adventure to one of dozens of possible trip itineraries!

Organize the Pack Out and Pack In

Share the trip food, double check their check-lists, and teach them how to distribute the weight in a steel-framed hiking pack. Your attention to detail before and after the trip is essential. It’s not just the physical stuff – you’ll also help campers navigate their emotions before and after a great trip.

Gain a Risk Management Mindset

An epic trip must be epically safe. You are there to help navigate the inevitable when things go wrong on a trip. We’ll help you know when to work something out on the trip and when to call back to camp. You won’t do it alone – we have many people who will be around to help you, including your Camp Director.

Coach Other Staff

Gain leadership experience coaching other staff. You’ll be co-leading the trip with another member of the staff that might have a bit less experience than you do. They’re ready to learn from you!

Be a Hero for a Camper

Involve them in the cooking, play games on the trail when they get bored, and be on the lookout for their mental and physical wellbeing. They’re ready to follow where you lead!

Live in Beautiful Vermont
