Stories amidst Thunderstorm - Farm & Wilderness

Written by Theresa Serr | July 21, 2021

Hello dear families and IB friends!

It is so hard to believe that in a short day plus we will be saying farewell to our first session campers! What an incredible time it has been! This summer is showing us how strong and capable our campers and staff are- creating camp friends, stories and memories amidst thunderstorms, seemingly constant rain showers, and while emerging from a global pandemic. Talk about camp magic!

This past week you have hopefully enjoyed photos of Someday- a day where anything goes…. The day when campers ask “can we do…” and we reply “someday..” Well, that day brought pudding drops, giant slip and slides, and all sorts of kooky mayhem.

We also had a waterfront morning and then a garden morning. Here are a couple pics from those events: A natural soft drink and a watery scavenger hunt.

Our third pic of the week is of the stained glass projects made by our 15 year old “super seniors.”

I hope that your ride home with your campers is full of camp stories, joy, and excitement. It has been a real and true pleasure and honor to share camp with your loved ones this year. Warm wishes for a safe, adventurous, and playful remainder of your summer, and best of luck to your young ones as they venture back off to school in the fall. I hope we get to share IB with you again next season!

Happy trails,

Theresa and the IB staff 2021.
