The Sweet Sounds of Camp! - Farm & Wilderness

Written by Farm & Wilderness | July 13, 2021

Dear Friends,

Summer is officially here!

Over the past week, we welcomed campers back to Farm & Wilderness for a Special Edition Summer. From our littlest Barn Day Camp adventurers to our young adults at Questers … camp is back!

What have we been up to? We are up to everything we are always up to … exploring, chores, singing, swimming, playing games, laughing, settling into our cabins and getting to know each other. Campers will experience all that F&W has to offer this summer because our staff has invested an enormous amount of work and effort to get us to this point and our community supported us every step of the way. I want to thank our campers’ families who cheerfully completed lots of paperwork and followed the guidance we provided to enable this summer to happen for their children.

Drop off looked different than it has in the past. But thanks to the exceptional organization from our staff and the patience of parents and campers (campers were truly amazing) drop-off was a very smooth experience. In fact, there are many aspects of our new drop-off process that we may carry forward to next year!

Cabins are already bonding as teams – from “MoGlo” (aka Morning Glory) at IB to the call and response of “Syca-what?” “Syca- MORE!” at TL.

Our staff this summer is a very special team! They have jumped into action to help campers unpack, settle in, feel at home and understand our health and safety protocols. They are at the heart of the F&W experience and are doing an amazing job.

Thank you to our staff and our community for all you have done to bring this summer to life. I am so very grateful.

In peace,

Frances McLaughlin
