Natural Shelters: A Place to Hang Out - Farm & Wilderness

Written by Michelle Golden | April 01, 2020

Camp isn’t the only place where you can make a natural shelter. Do you live somewhere where there are trees? Or a safe side of your house or building? Gather sticks or scrap boards from places in your neighborhood you can safely walk to, then lean them against the tree or building to make a natural shelter. It will be a great place to hang out on nice days!  Maybe grab a chair from your house or apartment to sit in while spending time in your shelter. You can bring games, toys, a journal, or maybe even a sibling to make the space fun. Think of camp and enjoy! You know we would love it if you would send us pictures of what you have built.

Take a look at the shelters I found on my walk yesterday!
