Welcome Session 2 at Tamarack Farm - Farm & Wilderness

Written by Andrea Breen | July 22, 2019

And like that, Session One is over.  Our first session campers left on Friday after a full week of working on the Art Barn which now has a new curved roof.  We also have new shelves and stools from the work projects area.  The old arts area has also been beautified. Many teens headed home having helped milk our cows and weed our beautiful gardens.

Art has been made, bread and muffins have been baked and things around really looking good around here!!

Full season campers enjoyed a special day in between the sessions and this year we took a day trip to Emerald Lake State Park. It was the perfect thing to do on the hottest day of summer so far!  We laid around in the shade, swam in the lake, went on the rope swing and rented two paddleboards that were loads of fun!!

Yesterday we welcomed campers for our Second Session at the farm.  Today they are getting oriented in our schedule, skills crews, and community norms.

More soon!
