Our Second Honoring - Farm & Wilderness

Written by Charlie Wyatt | July 19, 2018

Monday night SAM camp joined us at the Cloud for our second Honoring Ceremony of the summer. Our campers graced us with another beautiful fire and spoke with love and reverence for the best and truest qualities of those FC Questers for which the fire burned. These Words capture the beauty and truth that was spoken that night, and they will recall it now and forever.

Tor:

Flame from afar

A beacon for the crow

Flying through the night

Charlie:

Light on the river

Dances towards the cresting waves

Taharihwakohe:

The spring greets the hills

A harmonious dance, alive with color

Arlo:

Cedar tacks against the tide

To the distant exultation of thunder

Nate G.:

Upon the rich earth

The ash stands tall

Cyrus:

Dandelions dance in the wind

Seeds carry far, the heart persists

Demetris:

Embers carry radiant gifts

Giving birth to flame

Asher:

Roots like hands, they hold the soil

From Earth the circle will be made

Tomer:

Fox seeking, lit by stars

Constellations are your guide

Nate J.:

The chorus of birds heralds the dawn

Closing the night, warming the hearth

These Words will live on in the hearts of those to whom they belong, and the warmth shared that night will linger in our souls long after the summer ends. I hope this post can give you all a shimmer of that same warmth.

Until next time,

-Charlie
