Flying Cloud (Boys 11-14)
Flying Cloud is a wilderness skills camp for 35 boys on the side of Saltash Mountain. There are five components central to Flying Cloud: Simplicity and isolation, respect and community, common gender, honoring the land, and honoring the Spirit. These values have resulted in a strong Flying Cloud identity and a lasting sense of affiliation for generations of campers. Flying Cloud is a safe place to be who you are. All of our daily actions are intended to bring us closer to fully honoring the land, and it’s a rare member of the community who goes more than a few hours without taking a deep breath, or looking into the forest and having a deep, heartfelt moment of appreciation for the beauty around him.
