Barn Day Camp (Coed 4-10)
A day camp for children ages 4-10, the Barn Day Camp specializes in making all the traditional activities of Farm & Wilderness come alive for younger campers. Barn Day Camp sessions are two weeks long, and there are three sessions per summer. Children can attend one, two, or all three sessions.
Children at the Barn Day Camp learn to take care of the farm animals; sing songs and make music; receive swimming instruction at their ability level; learn to use tools as they do work projects; hike, canoe and rock climb; and explore their creativity with visual art, movement and drama. Children at the Barn Day Camp enjoy working together in small groups, in a cooperative respectful style that gives them the freedom of being outdoors in a safe and nurturing community.
Often, families arrange a family summer vacation to Vermont around the Barn Day Camp schedule. Barn Day Camp families also live in nearby towns, or have a vacation home nearby. If you are interested in renting a house for two weeks or an entire summer in Vermont, and sending your children to the Barn Day Camp, please look at Places To Stay .
