T-Shirt Designs Wanted

We are opening the field for 2008 Farm & Wilderness Fair T-shirt designs! Every summer Indian Brook campers silkscreen hundreds of T-shirts with original art celebrating the summer, which are then sold at the Fair. This year for the first time we are seeking art submissions from the entire F&W community. Read on for art guidelines and deadlines. We can’t wait to see your art.

Art Guidelines for T-shirts: Art must be original art in black and white. Past designs have been line drawings, wood cuts and linoleum cuts; we are open to other media as long as art is clear and in black and white. For drawings we recommend using black ink pens on white paper; avoid a pen that ‘bleeds’ into the paper. Do not use crayons or magic markers. The image should be no larger than 11x17 inches.

Send your image to the F&W office in postal mail, care of T-Shirt Contest. You may send art on paper or on a disc; if on a disc please save it as a highest quality tiff or jpg file, not a pdf. We will not return submitted art, so keep a copy for yourself.

We may alter the image in order to use it on a T-shirt, with permission of the artist. The artist whose submission is chosen will receive three free T-shirts and another special F&W gift.

Farm & Wilderness Fair 2008 T-Shirt: The design must include the words ‘Farm & Wilderness’ and ‘2008.’ Design should be relevant to F&W as a whole. It may or may not include elements or words representing all the camps. Deadline is July 15th.
