News & Links

Great things are always happening here at Farm & Wilderness, and we want you to know about them. We keep in touch through our newsletter, The Interim; through this website, and of course by seeing eachother at camp, school-year events and the Fair. Check this page for news and updates relating to the Farm & Wilderness community.

Farm & Wilderness Camps now have blogs

We are very excited about our new camp blogs. Flying Cloud has had a blog for a year, and it worked so well that we have decided to work toward having a blog for each camp.  This summer, the blogs will mostly be weekly letters that the camp directors are sending to current camper parents. This is going to be a great way for alums to know how the summer is going. In the fall, we'll post photos from the summer, and the directors will write a few posts over the school year. You can get to the blogs from the main page for each camp, or you can click through to them here: Flying Cloud, Indian Brook, Timberlake, and Saltash Mountain. Keep posted for Tamarack Farm's blog, and enjoy!

Job Openings

The Farm & Wilderness Foundation is seeking a  Managing Director/Chief Operating Officer. Please visit our year-round employment page for further information.

Farm & Wilderness is currently hiring for seasonal positions. We have internships, and physical plant positions available for Fall of 2008.

Interim

Since 1942 we have kept in touch with alums and friends through our newsletter The Interim which is published during the off season (the interim) between summer camps. F&W alum and friends love receiving The Interim. In an effort to make the newsletter more accessible to far-flung friends (and perhaps save some trees), we are now posting it on the Current Alumni Newsletter page, and can send it to you via email instead of through the “snail” mail, if you prefer. Please help us stay updated with your address and email by filling out our Sign Up For the Newsletter form.

Message from the Board of Trustees, October 2007:

Over the past several years, the Farm & Wilderness Board of Trustees has been deeply engaged in the process of reviewing the practice of suitless swimming at F&W.  At the October Board Meeting, the trustees engaged in thoughtful discernment on this topic.  Please download and read our resulting letter to the Farm and Wilderness community (Adobe pdf).
