Camps at a Glance
Please find below a list of the summer programs Farm & Wilderness offers. Our programs aim to accomplish our goals of self, community, simple living, social justice and the life of the spirit. Click on any of the camp names for more detailed information, including short videos of several of the camps, descriptions of a typical day at the camp, and camper and parent comments.
- Timberlake:
- A camp for boys ages 9-14, Timberlake focuses on adventure and skill-building in a supportive community. Founded in 1939.
- Indian Brook:
- A camp for girls ages 9-14, Indian Brook emphasizes self-reliance, empowerment and valuable skills for young women. Founded in 1941.
- Saltash Mountain:
- A wilderness trips camp for girls and boys ages 11-14, Saltash Mountain focuses on adventure, community, wilderness skills, and theater.
- Flying Cloud:
- A remote camp in the heart of the Green Mountain forest for boys ages 11-14, Flying Cloud campers learn rustic living skills, community living, and respect for each other and the land.
- Tamarack Farm:
- A farm-based co-ed camp for young people ages 15-17, Tamarack Farm centers on community building, cooperative work projects on the farm and community service.
- Family Camp:
- A seven day camp for families and adults where campers work, play, create community, and share the joys of late summer.
- Barn Day Camp:
- A co-ed day camp for children ages 4-10, the Barn Day Camp makes all the traditional activities of Farm & Wilderness come alive for younger campers.
- Questers:
- A co-ed program for 15-17 year olds. Questers can spend the July or August session on an extended wilderness journey, or the full season (7 weeks) hiking the Long Trail in Vermont. This physically demanding trip focuses on group skills, leadership, and individual challenges.
