Health & Wellness
Guided by the Quaker belief in honoring the unique light in each individual, Health & Wellness is a basic element in every program offered at F&W. Whether it is through connection to the natural world via physical activity, quiet contemplation, or preparation of a healthy meal, F&W offers pathways for self awareness and nourishment for the mind, body, and spirit.
Some examples of this program emphasis:
- Growing, eating and cooking with organic produce, meat and dairy products
- Maintaining a regular schedule for eating, resting, waking and bedtime
- Providing activities for participants to increase physical fitness (hiking, swimming, climbing, running games, work projects, gardening, etc.)
- Allowing for quiet time alone or in groups for refection and meditation.
