School Year Education Programs
Change in Program Offerings
Due to shrinking school budgets and the general economic downturn, we have made the decision to suspend our school year education program as of May 2009. However, our facilities are still available for rental by school groups interested in running their own programs here at our site.This option has been a popular one for schools.
Rental of a Farm & Wilderness facility includes the use of all buildings (kitchen, lodges) canoes, waterfront, kitchen, etc for each facility booked. School groups bring food and provide their own meals, with access to our large, fully equipped kitchens. Regarding chaperone ratios, we do require one adult per every five underage children.
Special Rates for school groups:
- The overnight per person rate is $18 per person/ per night, with a $250 per night minimum.
- The day per person rate is $10 per person per day, with a $200 per day minimum.
- Groups can participate in Barn Chores for a $10 per day flat fee.
- Use of the waterfront requires one lifeguard per every 10 swimmers. Lifeguards may be available through Farm & Wilderness, please inquire. The lifeguard fee is $20 per hour per lifeguard.
