Summer Employment

We hire skilled, talented and committed camp counselors and summer program staff. At F&W, our focus is entirely on the campers, and our work is to provide them with an excellent summer. We are looking for people passionate about and experienced in working with children, particularly in a classroom or outdoor education setting, and willing to be a role model. Strong candidates are committed to community, and have technical skills to offer, such as ceramics, lifeguarding, wilderness tripping, and animal husbandry. For people dedicated to children's growth and happiness, working at Farm & Wilderness is fun and often life-changing.

We provide extensive training for summer staff. New staff generally attend a five-day Skills Week and then all staff attend an eight-day Staff Week at their camp.

To apply to work at one of the Farm & Wilderness Camps in Summer 2009, please download an application and the reference form you will need for your application packet (Adobe pdf files). You can also apply using our online form, but you will still need to download the reference form to make your application complete.

If you have questions or any difficulties, please contact our Human Resources Manager Courtney Porter at our office, (802) 422.3761, or hr@farmandwilderness.org.
